Pip & Squeak
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” ~ Aesop
Hatching Date: February 2013
Little Pip, her friend Squeak, and their five other friends are Pekin ducks. Pekin ducks are the type of ducks used for duck meat, and are typically farmed intensively in Australia. Sadly this industry deprives ducks of what is most inherently natural to them - water.
Pip, Squeak and their 6 other friends are 8 lucky individuals out of an estimated 8 million ducks farmed in Australia each year. You haven't seen joy until you've witnessed a duck having a bath - these guys enjoy swimming, playing and cleaning themselves in their pond all day every day!
Help Pip, Squeak and the gang by learning about farmed ducks in Australia and sharing the info with your friends and family
Aside from sea creatures, Chickens are the most exploited of all animals on earth. Did you know that for every 100 animals killed for food, 98.5 are chickens? Chickens are complex and intelligent birds who are often underestimated and undervalued.
