Looking for a joyful and cruelty-free alternative as "Cup" day approaches? The Compassionate Stakes is your perfect solution! We believe a great time should never come at the expense of animals, and our event proves that compassion and fun go hand in hand.
Race as a T-Rex (or a Unicorn!)
Ever wanted to race as a dinosaur or a magical creature? Now’s your chance! Our races are open to the public, and your race ticket includes the thrilling experience of donning a T-Rex costume—or, new this year, a Unicorn costume for selected races.

Spectators & Supporters: Enjoy for Free
Cheering on your favourite racers? Spectator entry is completely free, so bring your friends and family to join in the fun and cheer on the racers!
A Rexcellent Day Out
The excitement kicks off at 11 am with the first race, and the fun continues with races every half hour. Don’t miss the grand finale, "THE COMPASSIONATE STAKES," where the winners of the day’s races will compete for the ultimate title at 3:30 pm—an event that’s sure to be the highlight of the day!

Race entry fees are non-refundable and support survivors of the horse racing industry at Little Oak Sanctuary.
Overall Rules:
- Participants must be 18 years old or over on 27th October 2024 to compete.
- Please arrive 30 minutes before the race for registration and costume preparation.
- All competitors MUST wear running shoes.
- Competing with the spirit of kindness and compassion is mandatory—no room for sore losers!
- First aid officers will be present, but participants acknowledge they race at their own risk.
- All judges' decisions on race outcomes are final.
